Founded in 1948, Blue Seal is a renowned ice cream chain best known for its slogan, “Born in America, raised in Okinawa.” By combining American ice cream heritage with locally sourced Okinawan ingredients, the brand has established a distinctive identity and a strong emotional connection with its customers.

 

As the brand continued to grow, Blue Seal set out to modernize its stores by enhancing its visual identity while making in‑store communication more dynamic and efficient. Partnering with Blue Seal’s system integrator, ClutchHive, AUO Display Plus (ADP) delivered a comprehensive digital signage solution to enable dynamic visual communication and smart content scheduling across stores.

Blue Seal’s existing display system struggled to meet the demands of a fast‑paced retail environment. Content updates relied heavily on manual operations, with no centralized scheduling or campaign management.

 

As a result, it was difficult to plan multiple promotions in advance or ensure consistent messaging across stores. Daily operations became time‑consuming, limiting staff efficiency and reducing the overall effectiveness of in‑store marketing communication.

The 50” UHD Ultra Slim Signage, featuring 4K resolution and 700‑nit high brightness, delivers vivid and eye‑catching visuals even in brightly lit retail environments. Its ultra‑slim design allows seamless integration into space‑constrained stores, contributing to a more modern store appearance.

 

Smarter Content Scheduling


Powered by the IMPRESS Content Management Solution, Blue Seal can centrally manage content and schedule multiple campaigns across locations. This ensures timely message delivery, consistent branding, and a scalable deployment model that supports both existing and future stores.

 

 

Results

ADP’s digital signage solution was deployed by ClutchHive across Blue Seal’s nine stores in the Okinawa and Kanto regions, with a total of 20 digital signage units installed. Built on a scalable system architecture, the solution enables seamless expansion to support future store openings and renovation projects.

 

To ensure successful deployment and long‑term stability, ADP provided ClutchHive with pre‑deployment training and ongoing technical support covering installation, system integration, and CMS operation.
